// COCKTAIL //

Before, the Cosmo,

Now, the Kusmipolitan.

The Kusmipolitan is THE new Cosmo. And it's even more Sex & the City.

As a cute reference to the mythical Cosmo, the Kusmi Tea house is now offering an Anastasia tea- and Russian Standard Platinum vodka-based cocktail, created by drink designer Greg Erchoff.

And here's the recipe! For you, for us. :)

-Prepare your tea syrup by infusing 7 spoonfuls of Anastasia tea in 70 cl of sugar syrup for 7 days.

-Infuse the Anastasia tea in boiling water, then allow it to cool down in the refrigerator, to obtain a satisfactory quantity of iced tea.

-Pour 2 cl of tea syrup in a shaker with 5 cl of the iced tea, 5 cl of Russian Standard Platinum vodka and icecubes, then shake for 15 seconds.

-Finally, pour the mixture in a martini glass without the icecubes and add an orange twist, which will "reinforce the subtle flavors of orange already present in the Anastasia tea", states Greg Erchoff himself.

Ok so yeah, not going to lie, waiting 7 days for a cocktail is what one might call determination. But if you're planning a party, or if you're just trying to impress someone (or yourself!), the Kusmipolitan is entirely worth it! Beware, however, that just because it's made with tea doesn't mean that we're not dealing with strong liquor, and I highly suggest limiting your consumption to a couple of glasses, even though it's DELICIOUS.

And yeah, there's still regular tea. As in, tea without liquor. And if tea were a religion, Kusmi Tea house would be its temple.

Trend Alert

Today, I was getting over my jetlag by wandering through the silent aisles of the Bon Marche (Paris' it department store!), and while paying for my beautiful new military-style jacket (as recommended here!) at Sandro (pics coming soon, you'll LOVE the bejeweled shoulders!), I noticed the salesperson's gorgeous nail polish colour. Not familiar with the hue, but already in love with the taupe-purplish shade, I asked her what it was. "Paradoxal", Chanel's new lacquer, she casually told me. I acted disinterestedly polite, but as soon as I was out of her field of vision, I rushed down to the ground floor with barely-contained excitement, over to Chanel's cosmetics display, and immediately purchased two bottles of the gorgeous nail polish (along with a refill of my favourite mascara, the Inimitable Intense in black). I highly recommend you do the same, especially after what happened to the unspeakably beautiful "Nouvelle Vague" which was oh-so-popular this summer. I can already predict that Paradoxal will be all the rage starting...now. I'm getting my nails done in the colour as early as right now. Enjoy!

Ps: do not be fooled by the slightly iridescent shade in the bottle: I was horrified myself. But it's just the way the light plays with it inside the bottle. Not what it'll look like on your nails!

La collection SWING by Princesse Tam-Tam.

--

Super crush of the week: Princesse Tam-Tam (the girlie lingerie brand loved by all Parisians!) and its new SWING collection. Sexy, feminine and fresh, with its girlie lace detailing, it has already started spreading like wildfire around Paris, and is exclusively sold at Selfridges in London. Available in black and "velvet blue", a "St Germain green" is also coming soon. I thought stars had become cliche, they were spotted on just about everything in 2009. But this time, I simply cannot resist, I've given in.

What do you think of Princesse Tam-Tam's SWING line?
